The Learning & Development Manager leads a team of facilitators and coaches to build people capability across the Compass Group organisation through the development and implementation of learning strategies and programs aligned with our business objectives.

The Role:

This role reports to the Head of Talent and will be accountable for

  • Providing leadership and development to the L&D team
  • Ownership of Compass Group’s LMS & Training Matrix Platforms
  • Creating & updating 100-day training plans across all sectors
  • Vendor management
  • System design enhancements, customisations & upgrades.
  • Development of training program content
  • Facilitation of leadership group assessments, training courses and support for onboarding facilitation
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to undertake development needs research, rationale and present L&D solutions to develop workforce capability.
  • Developing training material, facilitation guides, online content and "Train the Trainer' materials to deliver frontline, leadership and service-related training programs
  • Driving continuous improvement by making current or new L&D technologies business applicable

The Person:

This is a role for someone who’s super organised, can navigate multiple agendas and has a positive approach to work. Candidates with the following attributes will be held in high regard;

  • Experience in managing the L&D functions
  • Extensive experience with competency frameworks, including design of role profiles, assessments and aligned development solutions
  • Experience content designing and writing for eLearning using articulate and blended learning including manuals, workbooks and video scripts
  • Proficiency in office and learning technologies, including online learning
  • Certification in coaching & psychometric tools eg Hogan, Hays etc ideal
  • Extensive experience in delivering training & facilitation
  • A Business or Operations background, whilst not mandatory, would be viewed favourably.
