We currently have a vacancy in our Delta FM Queensland team. As the Manager-Engineering, you’ll lead a team of approximately five and report directly into the Manager-Hard FM Operations.

You’ll be responsible for compliance with the Hard FM Services Contract and maintaining a variety of mechanical, electrical and other systems in a complex environment. Working at our client site in South Brisbane, Queensland’s largest children’s hospital, you’ll be working with a great team on site and be supported by a great management team.

Key duties

• Ensure continuity of all Building and Engineering services in this complex environment
• Manage building, engineering and maintenance services relating to strategic planning and operational facilities management: including Engineering, Construction, Installation and Maintenance practices
• Gap Analysis and identification of opportunity for improvement
• Monitor and track KPI’s
• Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with moral, ethical, legal standards and maintain best FM practice
• Preventative, Corrective and Reactive Maintenance contract management and trades management
• Management and co-ordination of maintenance resources and equipment assets
• Drive WHS compliance and best practice
• Develop and maintain a maintenance schedule, ensuring that all required preventative maintenance is undertaken for current and new assets.
• Liaise with the Maintenance Planner to drive asset maintenance best practice
• Ensure that staff are familiar with WHS requirements and following safe work practices.
• Manage stock/equipment purchases within a budget
• Oversight of boilers, air-conditioning equipment, diesel engines, turbines, pumps, condensers, generators, and compressors.

 A bit about you

• Bachelor’s degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a similar technical discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar management role in either a FM, Defence Garrison, Aerospace, Pharma or Hospitality environment
• A solid understanding of HVAC, HV & LV, plumbing, carpentry, generator control system, UPS systems, BMS and energy management
• Well versed in all maintenance process and workplace health and safety regulations
• Previous supervisor/management experience
• Current driver’s license
• Strong computer skills (Excel and Word)
• Background working with CMMS systems
• Corporate membership of Engineers Australia desirable
