THE POSITION

In this newly created role, you will be accountable for driving food standards, quality improvement and service solutions for our Aged Care Business nationally. This is a full-time role based in Sydney.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing a food program that demonstrates a mastery of food and flavour representative of the sector brand in both existing portfolio and for potential new business
  • Ensure that all culinary submissions meet the agreed standards of quality, cost, safety and performance are consistently observed and business is managed commercially in line with company requirements
    • Responsibility for contract estimation and commercial modelling with Business Development
    • Responsible for audits of existing business
  • Developing culinary talent and capability to ensure the kitchens reflect flair, creativity and quality
  • Provide support to Regional Operations Manager and Site Managers including leave coverage
  • Provide specialist knowledge in Food/kitchen HSEQ consultation /food and ops safety management whilst supporting the development of new food safety process reviews
  • Culinary Coaching & Leadership
  • Complete Masterclasses with the culinary leads and hospitality staff at site.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry standards, “best practice”, trends and fashions in F&B including an understanding of initiatives adopted by our competitors
  • Develop a network of industry contacts enabling transfer of relevant information regarding market trends, information and analysis

THE PERSON

  • Tertiary Chef Qualification
  • Good stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
  • Strong project/time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Internal and external client/customer service focus
  • Initiative to continually improve process
  • Aged Care Culinary Experience in a Leadership Capacity
  • Survey/insight capture experience
  • Knowledge of CRM (Client Relationship Management) systems
  • Contract management knowledge
