ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.
Due to unprecedented growth across the east coast remote sector, specifically throughout our Central QLD region, we are looking for experienced Mine Site Cleaning Supervisors to take us into our next growth phase, as we mobilise our Anglo American villages in the Middlemount, Moranbah and Moura regions.
Working with well-regarded clients, the successful candidate will work a 7:7 roster, working 11 hour days. Locals are encouraged to apply on a drive-in, drive-out basis.
The Position
As a Mine Site Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for daily operations, supervison of 5-15 Mine Site Cleaners, reporting to upper level management and cleaning of communal buildings and facilities on the mine site.
Cleaning of communal buildings and facilities on site including but not limited to offices, training rooms, crib huts, wash rooms, locker rooms and bath houses
Waste removal, power washing pathways and light grounds work
Ability to work in a physically demanding and active role, working 11 hour days on your feet
Training of new employees
Conduct effective prestart meetings
Manage performance issues
Demonstrate and reinforce safe behaviours, effectively investigating and reporting all hazards/incidents and injuries
Prepare and submit performance reports and field leadership as and when required
The Person:
Previous supervisory experience in cleaning roles (essential)
Hold Supervisor certification – S123 & G2 or be willing to obtain
Exemplary interpersonal and verbal communication skills
Intermediate systems knowledge (essential)
Neat, tidy and professional in appearance
Be conditioned to the extreme weather in Central QLD
