About ESS:

ESS provides a home away from home for people working in the remote mining industry, through the villages, mine sites and offshore on oil rigs. We provide the hospitality solutions to ensure all guests are getting the comforts of home even in isolated locations.

ESS manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities or “villages” for remote workers, providing the essential comforts such as a hot meal, a clean bed, freshly laundered workwear to health and wellness facilities for those working away from home.

The Position

We are currently recruiting mine site cleaning Supervisors to work across various locations throughout Queensland from Blackwater up to Moranbah and surrounding areas.

Our mine site cleaners are responsible for cleaning all communal buildings and facilities on the mine sites, including bathrooms, waste removal, basic grounds keeping and more. It is a physically demanding job that requires you to use a range of cleaning machines & equipment, so you will require a good level of fitness.

As a mine site cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day to day running and supervision of between 5 to 15 cleaners and reporting to upper level management on a regular basis.

We have various shifts and rosters on a Drive In, Drive Out basis - Central Queensland 

NOTE – Successful candidates will be asked to complete an online video interview.

To be considered, you must: 

  • Have a Supervisor Certificate - S123 & G2 – Experience as a supervisor or relevant role
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills – Conduct effective prestart meetings, attend to performance issues, Demonstrate and reinforce safe behaviours, effectively investigate and report all hazards/incidents and injuries
  • Have advanced computer skills (All Microsoft applications including outlook calendar)
  • Prepare and submit performance reports and field leadership
  • Training of new employees
  • Available on 7/7 roster – Subject to change due to operational requirements such as site/roster and available for overtime
  • Have a current D/L and reliable transport with back up should an issue arise 
  • Be Neat, Tidy and Professional in appearance
  • Be conditioned to the extreme weather in Central QLD
