ESS manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities, or “villages” for remote workers, providing the essential comforts from a hot meal, a clean bed, and freshly laundered workwear, to health and wellness facilities for those working away from home.

The Position

We are looking for experienced chefs accustomed to small to medium-sized buffet-style camp kitchens. Our client has 3 small to medium-sized camps between Geraldton and Leinster in Western Australia. To be successful, you will understand the latest trends and healthy eating principles and be passionate about producing great food.

Key Duties

• Prepare, cook, and serve meals across breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents and guests
• Provide exceptional service when interacting with our staff, residents, and guests
• Maintain food safety standards in line with company policies
• Collaborate with the Chef Manager to create “special food offers” outside the regular menu cycle
• Manage the expectations of both clients and diners

The Person

The successful candidate will have experience working in a high volume, buffet-style kitchen. In addition, you will possess:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• White card
• Valid driver’s licence
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to maintain professional standards in a high-pressure kitchen
• Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Screening, company medical test, and National Police Clearance
• Covid vaccination certificate & Booster requirements
