The Role

This role would suit a Graduate in finance, business or accounting or hold a professional accounting qualification (with at least 1 year experience). Reporting to the Senior Procurement Financial Analyst this role will see you provide commercial support to the Foodbuy procurement organisation and sourcing teams in the collation, accounting and analysis of financial inputs related to purchasing activity and to provide analyses and insight, for commercial benefit delivery from such inputs. Working with big data you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of our financial data and the impact that it has on our member client businesses.

On a daily basis you will:

  • Liaise directly with suppliers to ensure integrity of data inputs
  • Create and/or audit data inputs and outputs to ensure accurate invoicing and collection of monies due in line with procurement activities
  • Be responsible for accounting entries supporting procurement activities in CGA financials
  • Deliver reports to the Foodbuy GM Finance & Analytics for use by the Foodbuy and CGA Leadership Teams
  • Maintain commercial models/templates customised to meet the objectives of your role
  • Collate data and produce reports, including trend analysis on usage data and earnings from procurement activity

The Person

Key to your success will be your ability to effectively extract and collate data from various sources to present findings and insights back to the business. You will be recognised for your Excel and data modelling skills. Other key skills and experience include: 

  • Near-new graduate (1 year experience) in finance, business or accounting or holding a professional accounting qualification
  • Sound experience with the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel including Power Pivot / Power BI
  • First class communication skills
  • Ability to work with high volume data
  • Experience within procurement, food catering or related industry is a bonus
