We are seeking Refrigeration Tech / HVAC’s looking to join the team at BHP Por Haven team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. Port Haven is located in Port Hedland and has approximately 1200 rooms across the site. It is one of the newer sites in the portolio, beginning operation in 2010. Options to FIFO from Perth or DIDO for local applicants in Hedland. The position available is ideally an immediate start.

THE POSITION

• Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, ensuring continuity of essential Building and Engineering services in a complex environment
• Planned & preventative maintenance, attending and assessing breakdowns, cleaning, fault finding of Commercial and residential HVAC and refrigeration units
• Working in remote Accommodation Villages including Temporary and Permanent Housing, Commercial Kitchens, Dining Rooms, Laundry, Office Buildings etc.
• Prioritising works & meet rectification deadlines
• Additional Allowances available such as On Call Allowance, 3 Hour Min call out at penalty rates when required, Nominee Allowance, Leading Hand Allowance if applicable.

THE PERSON

• Full ARCTICK Licence & WA Restricted Electrical Licence
• Current Australian Drivers Licence, White Card
• Current CPR + LVR, Police Check within 12 months
• BHP Inductions + First Attack Fire Fighting (Compass will arrange)
• Medical within 12 months
• Well versed in all maintenance process and workplace health and safety regulations
• Able to FIFO from Perth Airport & available for long-term ongoing rosters
