THE POSITION:

  • Demonstrate your understanding of implementing risk based assessments, root cause investigation and the importance of understanding and applying human factors principles to the management of site based teams
  • Work with teams and individuals, lead meetings, pre-starts and safety-related training  
  • Monitor the implementation of operational safety, health, environment and QA policies and programs
  • Undertake incident investigations and reporting
  • Drive safety behaviours and culture through Field Leadership activities

THE PERSON:

  • Minimum Cert IV in WHS
  • Cert IV Training & Assessing (or willingness to obtain)
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Health and Safety, Environmental, Health or similar
  • Experience in incident investigations (ICAM preferred)
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and people safety in a hospitality setting (training also provided)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, web-based software applications and a high level of computer literacy in general
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
