The Role

Omega are seeking experienced Security Officers to work remotely at our villages in Moranbah and surrounds on the perfect 7/7 roster.

This is a Casual role with potential to move into a Full-Time role in the future, offering a 7 day on, 7 day off roster performing 12 hour rotating day and night shifts.

The role is responsible for the provision of effective and responsive security services across the village. Due to the nature of the work environment, you will be interacting with clients, residents, visitors, staff and contractors on a daily basis. As such, you will be a confident communicator and will be able to respond to queries in a professional manner. 

Applications from Moranbah/Mackay and surrounds are encouraged to apply on a Drive-in Drive-out or Bus-in Bus-out basis.

The Role

  • Ensure site integrity and safety
  • Continuous patrols around the village to promote residential safety
  • Monitor site for safety and security breaches
  • Performing site lockup and unlock as required by management
  • Inspecting of site for damage, theft and/or vandalism
  • Compile the daily occurrence/incident log and conduct appropriate handover
  • Ensuring Covid compliance is being adhered to as per site requirements

The Person

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience (desirable)
  • Security Officers Certificate II Security Operations (minimum)
  • Current QLD Security Officer (Unarmed) with Crowd Control
  • Basic computer skills
  • Observant, confident, good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment function medical and drug and alcohol screen
  • Must be fully vaccinated
