In a period of business transformation, we are seeking applications for a Senior AWS Integration Specialist who will be responsible for legacy SSIS integration platform as well as for the development of services using the AWS platform. This includes the implementation of new core integration requirements as well as supporting projects using the legacy integration platform.

The Position

Reporting in to the Head of Business Systems you will be required to;

  • Create a robust, resilient and extensible data acquisition and integration solution for moderate to complex systems to meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the business.
  • Define integration architectures and patterns, covering a number of integration platforms (FTP, AWS, API gateway, ETL, etc) and services
  • Maintain the enterprise integration blueprint (reference architecture) on a periodic basis.
  • Build interface design, data structures, data definitions, data models and data flow diagrams inclusive of source to target mappings.
  • Drive and contribute to the integration standards, principles, and playbook.
  • Ensure integration architectures are fit for purpose, scalable and secure, making recommendations
  • Gather and confirm interfaces data requirements, conduct and facilitate end to end workshops, walk through business process reviews/re-engineering, solution design & definition with the business, IT and other SMEs.
  • Provide consultancy to business stakeholders to understand their ideas, organise them and playback solutions and costs
  • Ensure solutions are compliant with security and technology standards
  • Act as a systems liaison when necessary and troubleshoots/resolve system issues that may arise
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and D&T capability.  

The Person

We will be looking for candidates with the following attributes;

  • 5+ years’ experience in software development using Cloud architectures and middleware components.
  • Prior experience on implementing/supporting large cloud native integration is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge using AWS platform covering AWS Simple Storage Service, AWS Redshift, AWS Cloudwatch, AWS Lambda (Python) , AWS Airflow, AWS API Gateway, dbt and FiveTran
  • Experience with, the following: secure file transfer, ETL, SSIS, APIs & Microservices.
  • Exposure to Python, XML and Webservices - SOAP and REST.
  • Data Engineering ,Data Analysis and SQL experience essential
  • Ability to analyze and provide root cause for issues
  • Responsible for move from legacy SSIS to AWS cloud based integrations
  • Good working knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure
