We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst / Commercial Business Partner to provide commercial support, analysis and advisory to senior operations and financial leadership teams.

About You

You are an experienced Finance Business Partner with exposure to high-volume data environments, technically and analytically savvy, open-minded and quick learner, a strategic thinker who can also operationalise, hands-on and willing to roll up your sleeves to solve problems. You will lead and develop a small team focussed on accounting and analysis of supply chain activity, month end management reporting, budgets and forecasts, and key client analysis and engagement to drive financial and operational value.

This exciting role seeks to complement the growth of the Foodbuy (Supply Chain) division of Compass Group Australia bringing senior financial analyst capability in support of the GM Foodbuy Finance & Analytics to ensure our finance solutions, talent, processes and outcomes support an efficient, effective, professional and high performing team aligned to the highest standards of legislative, regulatory, and other external and internal and Client requirements.

Your key responsibilities

  • Deliver easily digestible and actionable financial reporting, analysis and recommendations to management to support decision-making, forecasting outcomes of procurement activity to drive value creation
  • Planning including annual budget, periodic forecasting & multi-year plan
  • Monitor performance and use effective leadership, coaching and communication techniques to motivate, empower and develop team
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and streamlining of existing processes

Your success in this role will stem from your significant commercial accounting experience post CPA or CA qualification. In addition, you will possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills, attention to detail and strong internal and external communication and influencing skills. Experience in a high-volume data environment, with a passion for turning data into actionable insights will also be highly regarded. You will be commercial and results oriented and be able to demonstrate sound technical and analytical skills and the ability to lead and drive team performance.
