We are currently recruiting a brand new role to the business, supporting our growing Remote and Offshore operations. Reporting to the General Manager People, this role supports the business across all aspects of the employment life cycle delivering strategic projects which support talent management, performance management, industrial relations, engagement, and retention.

As the Specialist - People Operations/HR Projects, this role will work across a diverse range of operations and would suit a senior HR generalist who is looking to further their career working in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Our expectation is the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in the development and implementation of innovative and contemporary HR projects.

Based in our Cannon Hill office in Brisbane, the role will support several client sites which will require some intrastate travel.

Some key tasks in your new role:

• Project own strategic People initiatives - both within the Offshore Remote sector and enterprise wide (where aligned)
• Partner with HR, Operational Leadership Teams, Managers and support functions to influence stakeholder engagement on strategic projects
• Deliver projects which support the management and optimisation of labour
• Lead key HR projects to deliver systemic changes across HR metrics such as engagement and retention
• Identify issues and areas where improvements to existing processes can be made, recommend and implement changes
• Provide subject matter expertise and technical support on generalist HR issues
• Prepare analytics and reporting that highlights key trends and insights and recommended actions
• Lead and/or contribute to other HR projects, programs and activities nationally
• Assist with reporting, change and communications activities
• Work across a large National HR team who are committed and focused on enabling the people of our business

A bit about you:

• Demonstrated business process analysis and improvement experience, including the identification of business processes, documentation of processes and procedures and the implementation of improvements
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with strong facilitation capabilities
• Excellent analytical skills and conceptual thinking skills
• 5+ years’ experience across human resources and employee relations disciplines, with a focus on implementing and managing HR systems
• A true business partner who can develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the business
• Experience in the Resources/O&G sector
• Advanced Microsoft excel, Visio and MS Word
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced matrix environment
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations and a demonstrated passion for learning
