The Position

Reporting to the People Operations Manager. the role of Staffing Coordinator will see you as the primary point of contact for our Casual team members fulfilling management of rosters & the facilitation of shift replacement across our client sites – right person, right role, right time! We have 2 roles available to join the team – we are open to the positions being based in Melbourne and Sydney.

Key Duties

  • Roster management & shift replacement of casual pool deployment to sites across Victoria
  • Manage end to end recruitment process for volume/ bulk hires for casual pool team; work in partnership with the National Recruitment team
  • Maintain accurate and up to date information and structure in the Casual Pool information system
  • Ensure that 100% of new staff receive inductions and information on the culture of Compass Group
  • Monitor performance and provide feedback to casuals
  • Manage the relationships with the casuals including recognising and resolving performance problems
  • Manage grievances effectively – including acting quickly / dealing effectively with situations of bullying, harassment or intimidation
  • Preparation & management of dashboard reporting & billing
  • Consult with Site Manager to plan the casual pool capacity and workforce mix according to their needs

The Person

  • Ability to maintain a professional and positive approach when dealing with issues of a confidential, personal or difficult nature
  • Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of workplace regulations, including award and agreement requirements
  • A comprehensive understanding of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment and ability to apply principles
  • Customer Centric; this is a non-negotiable
  • Eye for detail – you take pride in data accuracy, integrity and getting it right the first time
  • Innovative & always thinking, testing and executing process improvements that are intuitive, simpler, quicker, and user friendly
