The Position – Catering Supervisor

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, flexible and experienced Catering Supervisor to join our team at Latchford Barracks. This is a full-time position that will see you supervising a team in an exciting and rewarding environment.

Key Duties

  • Managing the day-to-day operations
  • Lead a team of Chef’s and Catering Assistants to provide an exceptional quality of service to our clients
  • Manage special events for various occasions
  • Ensure all Company policies and procedures are applied
  • Establish quality improvements with our staff and clients
  • Organise rosters as per requirements
  • Financial reporting and all documentation completed on a daily basis or as required

The Person

  • Must have management/supervisory experience in the hospitality industry
  • Management experience, including rostering, budgets and business management 
  • Certificate III qualifications or relevant experience.
  • Experience in a fast paced hospitality environment
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and have excellent time management skills.
  • A passion for food with the ability to motivate and promote team members to achieve exceptional customer service 
  • Strong communication skills as you will be in daily contact with Clients, Customers and Staff 
  • Exceptional personal presentation
  • Strong Occupational Health and Safety focus
  • Possess a positive "can do" attitude 
  • Must have drivers licence and transport

As you will understand, Defence establishments need to be highly secure. This means that due to Defence security clearance requirements the successful applicant must be an Australian Citizen and will be subject to an Australian Federal Police check.
