The Position

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor – Gardener to join our team at Olympic Dam in South Australia. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing grounds maintenance and village utility services, ensuring high standards of service delivery, safety, and compliance.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day coordination of teams across the village, ensuring operations run efficiently and in line with client and company expectations.

This role will suit a strong supervisor with experience in remote site operations, facilities, or hospitality services who thrives in a FIFO environment and enjoys leading diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage teams across ODV and RDV villages
Allocate and monitor daily tasks using iClean, ensuring team compliance
Manage linen processes, including connotes and backloading
Identify, report, and manage hazards through the BHP system
Complete field leadership activities in line with site requirements
Prepare and manage rosters and workforce planning
Approve timesheets using Deputy
Support safe, efficient, and compliant operations across all areas

Operational Oversight:

Grounds Maintenance
Coordinate truck day operations, including forklift unloading
Assist catering teams with unloading of deliveries
Manage waste and bin collection services

Village Utility
Oversee cleaning of laundry and ablution facilities
Coordinate collection of dirty linen across the village
Respond to operational call-outs from administration

The Person

Previous experience in a supervisory role within remote sites, facilities management, or hospitality services
Strong leadership and team management skills
Experience with rostering and workforce planning
Knowledge of safety systems and hazard reporting processes
Ability to work in a fast-paced FIFO environment
Forklift licence highly regarded
Strong organisational and communication skills
Proactive, reliable, and adaptable
