We are seeking passionate Cantonese, Sichuan, Mexican, Thai and Italian Chefs who bring authentic, traditional culinary techniques and cultural knowledge to share with our teams and residents across our remote mining villages.

As part of our evolving site culinary program, we are expanding our themed dining experiences and looking for chefs who are proud ambassadors of their cuisine — ready to elevate our offering with genuine flavours, traditional methods and culinary storytelling.

This is your opportunity to showcase your heritage and lead specialty dining nights in a dynamic FIFO environment.

Enjoy access to lifestyle facilities including gyms, pools and fitness classes (village dependent) plus structured career progression pathways to Chef Supervisor, Head Chef and beyond.

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We deliver vital workplace support to people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world — from offshore platforms to the Australian Outback.

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes across all sections
  • Contribute to menu planning and cultural authenticity of specialty offerings
  • Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or recognised Trade Certificate
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Strong knowledge of traditional culinary techniques and food safety standards
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening and National Police Clearance
  • Passionate about sharing your culinary heritage and elevating dining standards

The Benefits

  • Job Ready Program (JRP) support with opportunity to complete final assessments in our kitchens
  • Structured, predictable rosters
  • Career progression pathways
  • Access to wellbeing programs including EAP and on-site lifestyle coordinators
  • Immediate access to 100+ retail discounts via mobile platform
  • Accommodation and meals provided whilst on site
