We are seeking a top of the range Venue Operations Manager to join our team based at the National Gallery of Victoria. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with fine-dining and extensive Food & Beverage experience to join a dynamic team of hospitality professionals. Ideally, we are on the lookout for hospitality Extraordinaires coming from a background in well-known and prestigious multi-outlet venues with impeccable grooming and service standards. This is a challenging role that will see you be rewarded accordingly!

A Day in the Life!

  • Working with the culinary and service team to exceed client and customer expectations
  • Mentoring a large and committed team of Full Time, Part Time and Casual staff
  • Establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
  • Cost control and financial reporting
  • Driving a safety-first culture always
  • Working with the wider team to meet recruitment needs

About you!

  • Above all else, you are passionate about food, wine and impeccable customer service
  • Are well-connected in the hospitality industry and up to date with the current industry focus
  • A savvy operator who can flex between multiple outlets styles, from retail to volume bespoke functions to fine dining a la carte
  • Excellent reporting skills across key financials, labour costing, safety and more
  • A true motivator who thrives building a team of motivated and invested staff, can have the hard conversation but also recognise great delivery
  • A hands-on leader who will balance administrative tasks with a customer-focused approach
