To support an exciting period of growth, we are seeking a Waste Solutions Manager to join our Perth support office. Your role is to deliver commercial results by developing, implementing and continuously improving our waste management processes. Working closely with the operations team, your focus will be to project manage a diverse team across our Offshore & Remote sectors to achieve agility targets and ultimate cost of goods reduction. 

The Role

  • Lead change by working closely with wider teams to continue to drive cost down
  • Find new innovative ways of delivering improved waste management processes
  • Engage with key Stakeholders from both a Company and Client prospective to continue to value add and drive change.
  • Further develop, streamline and optimise production, menu planning and waste management training, procedures and related resources with respect to the types of contractual requirements within the sector.
  • Give due regard for all Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations
  • Carry out inspections and compliance by undertaking audits and Job Safety Analysis
  • Ensure client/customer service and satisfaction by fostering relationships
  • Maintain procedures and actively engage in the site safety culture

The Person

  • Minimum certificate 3 in commercial cookery or equivalent
  • A good understanding of operating a catering operation within strict budgetary constraints
  • Previous menu costing and planning experience
  • Understanding waste platforms
  • Understand food production processes and waste management techniques
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
  • Flexible positive approach and attitude
  • Change Manager- Ability to drive outcomes sustainably
  • Previous experience managing medium to large teams
  • Ability to drive stakeholder engagement and deliver superior service levels
  • Display excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills whilst thinking on your feet
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety, a strong commitment to safety to ensure targets are safely achieved
