Training Coordinator (9-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

At Compass Group, we serve thousands of people every day through food and support services across remote sites, business and industry, healthcare, education and defence sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Training Coordinator to join our Academy team and play a key role in developing the capability of our workforce.

This is a 9-month fixed-term contract opportunity covering a period of parental leave. It's an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional with a passion for training, coaching and operational excellence to help shape the future of our people while gaining exposure across a large and diverse national business.

The Role

Reporting to the Academy Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating Academy operations and delivering engaging training programs that equip employees with the skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed in their roles.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure training programs meet operational requirements, compliance standards and business objectives, while creating a positive and professional learning experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating Academy training activities and administrative processes
• Delivering engaging face-to-face and virtual training programs
• Supporting onboarding, compliance and capability development initiatives
• Maintaining training records and reporting requirements
• Building strong relationships with operational leaders and key stakeholders
• Supporting continuous improvement of learning and development programs

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Strong training, coaching or facilitation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Sound computer and administration skills
• Experience managing competing priorities
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• A flexible and hands-on approach to work

Desired Experience

• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or willingness to obtain
• Experience managing training compliance requirements
• Food Safety and/or WHS accreditation
• Experience delivering training across areas such as catering, housekeeping, retail, barista or bar operations
