Develop your hospitality skills in a unique environment as an Apprentice Chef at Kokoda Barracks, Canungra. This full-time opportunity is suited to first or second year apprentices looking to build a career in bulk cooking, with a focus on quality, flavour, and presentation. You’ll receive full training and support while working in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

The Position:

• Full-time role within a well-established kitchen team
• Learn and assist with preparing high-quality, buffet-style meals across breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, and functions
• Prepare food in line with menu requirements, standard recipes, and production methods under the guidance of the Chef team
• Actively observe, learn, and practise commercial cookery skills in line with apprenticeship requirements
• Maintain OH&S, HACCP and catering controls with a strong focus on waste reduction

The Person:

• First or second year apprentice (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery enrolment beneficial)
• Previous experience in a kitchen or similar environment advantageous
• Self-motivated and committed to completing studies and on-the-job training
• A team player with the ability to work autonomously when required
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a passion for food and learning
