We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Area Manager to lead the strategic and operational performance of a portfolio of sites within our BHP business. This is a key leadership position responsible for driving service excellence, operational efficiency, client engagement, and people performance across multiple locations.

Reporting to senior operational leadership, you will work closely with site-based management teams to ensure contractual outcomes are achieved while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and exceptional customer experience.

The Opportunity

As Area Manager, you will provide leadership across a diverse portfolio encompassing hospitality, accommodation services, village operations, and facilities management. • Monitor service standards, resident experience, and operational KPIs to support business growth and retention.
  • Manage contractor relationships and performance across facilities management services.

About You

You are a confident and influential leader with a proven track record managing large-scale operations, complex stakeholder relationships, and geographically dispersed teams. You bring strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate organisational objectives into operational success.

Essential Experience & Capabilities

  • Significant leadership experience within hospitality, facilities management, accommodation services, workforce villages, property services, or similar service-based environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-site operations with responsibility for P&L performance and service delivery outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior client representatives and executive leadership teams.
  • Experience leading integrated facilities management services, including both hard and soft services.
  • Proven ability to drive business performance through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Strong financial management capability, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost optimisation.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to lead high-performing teams through engagement, coaching, and succession planning.
