We’re seeking an Associate Business Partner – Commercial to join our team — someone who combines financial acumen with strong leadership and the ability to partner strategically across a complex, fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Commercial Business Partner – Defence, this role provides high-level commercial support across operations and finance, with responsibility for:

  • Leading and developing a small commercial team to deliver accurate and timely month-end and management reporting.
  • Driving performance reporting and analysis, providing meaningful insights that influence business decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Owning the planning cycle, including monthly outlooks, forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Managing contract compliance and commercial modelling, ensuring escalations and variations are implemented effectively.
  • Acting as a key commercial advisor to operational leadership, collaborating closely with FP&A, supply chain, legal, and business development teams.
  • Preparing commercial insights and presentation materials for the Senior Leadership Team.

You’ll also play a key role in fostering our Safety Culture framework, promoting communication, accountability, and continuous improvement across your team and stakeholders.

About You

You’ll bring:

  • A degree in Finance or Accounting (CA/CPA qualified or equivalent highly regarded).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial or finance role, ideally within large, multi-site environments.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workflows, coach a team, and deliver outcomes under pressure.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems (desirable).
