We are seeking a passionate, creative and detailed-oriented Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team in delivering the iconic Australian Open! In this role you will plan and coordinate events from enquiry through to delivery, creating memorable client experiences. Each January, the eyes of the world turn to Melbourne Park as it hosts the Australian Open – one of the greatest sporting and entertainment events on the planet. At the heart of the experience is Levy, delivering premium food and beverage hospitality that enhances the magic of the event for every guest.
THE ROLE
- This role is responsible for the successful coordination or events and functions, including client liaison and dining operations.
- Planning includes compiling run sheets, floorplans and managing invoicing
- Provide administration support to the site’s management team
- Conduct follow-up correspondence with clients and respond to queries and feedback
- Liaise with kitchen and service teams regarding room set up and menu requirements
- Provide a warm, friendly and welcoming service to customers and clients
THE PERSON
- Ideal candidate has previous experience in a function venue or large-scale event environment
- Interest/experience in the food and beverage hospitality industry
- Knowledge of front of house service and room set ups is desirable
- Proficiency in Priava, Monday or other similar event management software
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
