THE POSITION
Main responsibilities:

Month‑End Close
- Support an accurate and on‑time month‑end close process.
- Work closely with the broader finance team to ensure numbers are complete, reliable, and well‑understood.

Financial Reporting & Insights
- Prepare clear, practical financial reports that help leaders understand performance.
- Provide analysis and commentary that supports good decision‑making and value creation.
- Benchmark portfolio and sector performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Contribute to regular planning activities, including:
- Monthly outlooks
- 90‑day forecasts
- Annual budgets
- Multi‑year financial plans
- Contribute to regular planning activities, including:
- Build and maintain flexible forecast models that adapt to a changing business environment.

Commercial Modelling & Contract Management
- Develop commercial and financial models to support tenders and new opportunities.
- Ensure contract price escalations and variations are applied accurately and on time.
- Manage complex contract variations in line with agreed governance processes.
- Ensure financial and commercial reporting meets legislative, contractual, and internal requirements.

Working With Stakeholders
- Partner with operational leaders across multi‑service contracts to provide clear commercial advice.
- Work closely with teams such as FP&A, Business Development, Supply Chain, and Legal.
- Act as a key commercial contact for client‑related financial queries.
- Build strong, respectful working relationships through open communication and teamwork.

Senior Leadership Support
- Prepare clear, well‑structured analysis and presentation materials for Senior Leadership.
- Support month‑end, budgeting, and forecasting discussions with meaningful insights.

Team Leadership & Support
- Assist the Commercial Business Partner in leading and supporting the commercial team.
- Help create a positive, inclusive team environment where people feel supported to learn and grow.
- Contribute to coaching, performance discussions, and capability development across the team.
THE PERSON
Essential
- Commerce / Finance / Accounting Degree qualified
- Minimum 5+ years relevant experience
- Sound technical and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and successfully influence senior management
- Experience in budgeting and reporting across multiple service lines within a portfolio
Desirable
- Post degree qualification (CA/CPA)
- Experience in ORACLE accounting system
- Proven ability in providing senior operations leadership with advanced finance support and influencing outcomes based on well-presented analytics
