THE POSITION

• You will be the go-to culinary leader, stabilising kitchens, setting standards, embedding Compass processes and procedures and leaving teams stronger than you found them.
• Planning, supervising, and monitoring food production with a hands-on approach across the Chartwells portfolio in Melbourne, Ballarat & Geelong.  Leading by example to deliver consistent food quality and service.
• Driving food safety, allergen management and OHS compliance, ensuring all Compass systems, processes and paperwork are completed correctly and embedded into every kitchen that you support and mentor.
• Building strong relationships with site teams, clients and operational leaders
• Supporting sites during periods of change and/or mobilsations.  Inducting, mentoring and coaching new Head Chefs and kitchen teams.
• Being a visible leader who reinforces Compass cultures and values

THE PERSON

• Proven experience as Chef Manager (multi-site experience highly regarded)
• Must own a vehicle - required to travel to and from sites across Melbourne, Ballarat and Geelong.
• A natural leader who enjoys coaching, mentoring and developing people
• Adaptable, resilient and comfortable working across different sites and teams
• Uphold branding, quality and safety standards at each site.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, WHS, and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of allergen management and food safety.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, and the ability to lead and mentor teams both back and front of house.
