Perth Zoo is where exceptional experiences take place and the culinary offerings are on-trend, sustainability-focused and out of this world! Due to continued expansion within the team, we are now seeking a Chef to join our ranks!
THE POSITION
- Carry out catering control procedures (portion control, stock control, food storage)
- Develop menus and meal plans to meet dietary and cultural requirements
- A dynamic role that requires the ability to work across a variety of venues with indoor and outdoor events
- Fast paced and customer interactive
- Experience in a fast food environment and/or function and events
- A love of fresh and quality food
THE PERSON
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
- Food Safety Supervisors training
- A good understanding of operating a catering operation within strict budgetary constraints
- Driver’s licence preferred
- Available to work a range of hours including weekends, public holidays and some evenings
- Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery
