We are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Accountant to provide support to our ESS Defence team.

The Position:

• Based in Sydney, McMahon's Point head office, hybrid 3 days in office.
• Oversee end-to-end preparation and management of profit & loss statements.
• Lead accurate and timely month-end reporting, providing key performance insights.
• Drive Business Insights and Analysis through Anaplan reporting.
• Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations and site audits to ensure accuracy.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and provide in-depth commercial analysis.
• Ensure contract compliance while supporting internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
• Contribute to innovative project work and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Person:

• Strong financial acumen with a solid grasp of commercial accounting principles.
• Accounting degree supported by relevant business experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in business, hospitality, or facilities services environments highly regarded.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and advanced Excel skills.
• A proactive, can-do attitude with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Passion for delivering results and driving portfolio performance improvements.
