We are seeking an experienced Driver Training Coordinator to deliver driver training and assessment services while ensuring safety, compliance and operational readiness across Defence.

Based at RAAF Williamtown, this role involves delivering training on both commercial and Defence-specific vehicle platforms. ADF veterans are strongly encouraged to apply, as the position works closely with RAAF personnel in a dynamic Defence environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, practical and in-vehicle training and assessments
• Plan training activities, routes and locations to support Defence driver training requirements
• Maintain civilian and Defence driver training qualifications and competencies
• Provide guidance and support for Defence licensing requirements, ensuring compliance with Commonwealth, State and Territory regulations
• Work collaboratively with Defence personnel and colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality driver training outcomes
• Complete risk assessments, identify hazards and maintain safety documentation
• Maintain accurate training records, assessments and operational reports
• Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement

About You

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a structured and fast-paced environment
• Experience delivering training and assessments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and transport management systems
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Hold TAEASS412 - Assess Competence
• Hold TLIM0011 - Conduct Heavy Vehicle Training (or state equivalent)
• Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• Australian Citizen
• Hold an unrestricted Australian State or Territory Driver Licence
• Minimum MEDCAT 2 (or civilian equivalent)
• Hold a minimum HR and/or HC Licence, with the ability to obtain additional ADF vehicle licences and endorsements
