We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Fleet Allocation & Compliance Coordinator to join our team at RAAF Williamtown. Acting as a key advisor on Defence fleet operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring Defence vehicle fleets, drivers and transport activities remain safe, compliant and operationally ready.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with Defence personnel, providing specialist support across fleet allocation, vehicle management, driver licensing, transport compliance and road safety governance.

About the Role

As the Fleet Allocation & Compliance Coordinator, you will provide operational oversight and coordination across Defence transport activities, supporting vehicle custodians, managers and Defence stakeholders to ensure fleet assets are effectively managed and maintained in accordance with Defence policies, legislative requirements and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Defence vehicle fleet assets, utilisation and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs.
• Oversee Defence driver licensing, driver training, course management and qualification records.
• Conduct fleet audits, vehicle inspections and compliance reviews.
• Maintain accurate fleet records, transport documentation and reporting.
• Provide advice on road transport regulations, safety requirements and Defence policies.
• Support vehicle acquisition, allocation, modification and disposal activities.
• Lead road safety initiatives and assist with incident investigations, civilian infringements and risk assessments.
• Liaise with Defence stakeholders, service providers and vehicle custodians to support operational requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience in fleet management, transport operations, logistics or a similar field.
• Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules and fleet performance management.
• Strong quality management, administration, reporting and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
• A current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.

Highly Regarded

• Experience working within a Defence environment.
• Knowledge of Defence transport policies, driver licensing and road movement operations.
• Previous experience in transport supervision, fleet governance or fleet coordination roles.
