Head Chef

  • Primarily Monday - Friday shifts with a late start at 10am.
  • Hands on leadership role leading a passionate kitchen team

THE POSITION

  • Hands on leadership role requiring 95% hands on in the kitchen
  • Plan, supervise, and monitor the food production across functions and in house menu-based catering 
  • Actively maintain a high standard of food safety, allergen awareness, and OHS
  • Lead, develop and inspire a small team of culinary talents
  • Maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Oversee inventory, procurement, cost control and minimise food wastage

THE PERSON

  • Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
  • Proven kitchen leadership experience leading a culinary team through busy service periods
  • Personable and ability to interact with clients and students alike
  • Proven experience multitasking and forward planning
  • Passionate about food and familiar with using seasonal ingredients to create outstanding and memorable experiences for clients and students
  • Good understanding of food trends, food safety and allergen management.
  • Working with Children Check
  • Flexibility to work weekends and after hours as required
