ESS Manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities or “villages” for remote works, providing the essential comforts such as a hot meal, a clean bed, freshly laundered workwear to health and wellness facilities for those working away from home.

THE POSITION

Client & Business Management

• Build and maintain strategic client relationships.
• Conduct regular business reviews and manage contract retention plans.
• Drive client satisfaction through service improvements and innovation.
• Support sales, tender activities, and business growth opportunities.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and compliance.

Commercial & Retail Performance

• Improve service quality through customer feedback and satisfaction surveys.
• Develop retail and merchandising strategies to maximise sales and profitability.
• Manage Bar & Retail P&L performance through pricing and commercial reviews.
• Identify opportunities to increase revenue, volume, and margins.

Financial Management

• Lead budget preparation and financial performance reviews.
• Achieve budget targets and control operating costs.
• Ensure accurate client billing and debtor management.
• Drive cost control initiatives and continuous improvement.

Leadership & People Management

• Collaborate and influence across operational and support teams.
• Foster a positive workplace culture.
• Support employee development, retention, performance management, and recognition.
• Promote diversity and inclusion.

Safety, Compliance & Sustainability

• Champion Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
• Ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
• Promote Compass Group's safety culture and environmental initiatives.
• Implement risk mitigation and continuous safety improvements

THE PERSON

• Significant industry leadership experience (minimum 4-5 years)
• Strong understanding of HSE principles and workplace legislation.
• Demonstrated client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify contract retention and business development opportunities.
• Strong systems and commercial acumen.
• Capacity to provide senior leadership coverage when required.
• Business or degree qualifications.
• Contract management experience.
• Senior-level culinary experience.
