National Dietitian

  • Deliver expert nutritional guidance to ensure compliance with dietary standards and enhance food service quality!
  • Support our Healthcare teams across the whole of Australia in this national role!
  • Full time role working Monday-Friday in our support services offices!

THE POSITION

  • Work in collaboration with other team members to develop recipes and menus that address nutritional, personal, cultural, therapeutic, and sociological needs of each specific facility.
  • Analyse recipes, provide advice on recipe modification for all diets including therapeutic diets in accordance with relevant menu standards and requirements and advocate for standardised recipes.
  • Oversight of and support for the management of CBORD and other menu management systems where required.
  • Undertake site audits and allergen management compliance reviews in accordance with the National Allergy Strategy Australia (NAS) and texture modified meal compliance to IDDSI and all texture modified meal standards.
  • Nutritional lead for the healthcare sector engagement with our internal procurement team, particularly product substitutions.

THE PERSON

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited Australian Institution.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of food legislation, regulation and standards including food labelling, food safety and allergen regulations and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), accreditation standards and codes of practice.
  • Advocate for food service and nutrition-related issues.
  • Experience working within a hospital setting is highly regarded.
  • Accredited Practising Dietitian status is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Great time management skills, you’re able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
