The position:

• Working in a close-knit team in theatres to support with preparation before, during and after surgeries.
• Transfer patients, specimens, equipment or documents between a variety of departments within the hospital
• Providing theatre assistance including the preparation of operating rooms before surgery
• Cleaning and preparing the theatre for the next surgery, &restocking of supplies and equipment
• Infection Control and maintain occupational health and safety compliance  
• Working on a rotating roster with shifts across Monday-Sunday between the hours of 7am-11:30pm.

About you:

• Previous experience working within an operating theatre is highly desirable
• Positive and confident with a resilient nature
• This is a physically demanding role in a dynamic, fast paced hospital environment - A high fitness level is a mandatory requirement
• Able to work autonomously, and also effectively as part of a team
• Flexible, reliable and the ability to prioritise while working under pressure 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to retain information  
• Able to confidently deliver high levels of service, with a focus on patients' comfort and needs

In line with the required legislation, a current National Police check, COVID Vaccinations, Working with Children (Blue Card), and evidence of immunity to a variety of vaccine preventable diseases will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position.
