Compass Group Australia will deliver essential support services at the new Footscray Hospital, one of Victoria’s largest health infrastructure projects. We will provide vital services, including patient services, environmental services, food, security, help desk, and more. As a public hospital with clinical services provided by Western Health, this state-of-the-art facility will play a key role in supporting the community—be part of something bigger and help shape the future of healthcare in Victoria.

THE POSITION

• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure efficient hospital operations.
• Work closely with doctors, nurses, and allied health staff to optimise bed management.
• Track real-time occupancy levels and anticipate service demands.
• Oversee non-clinical services such as transport, cleaning, and catering to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and provide insights to improve efficiency.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and regulated environment.

THE PERSON

• Previous roles in patient services, bed management, or hospital operations.
• Strong foundation in patient-facing or client service roles, ensuring excellent communication and support.
• Familiarity with hospital management systems, patient databases, or scheduling tools.
• Proven ability to handle urgent requests, multitask effectively, and problem-solve under time constraints.
• Able to work collaboratively across different hospital departments to improve patient flow.
• Anticipates needs, responds to changes, and continuously looks for process improvements.
• Must have or be able to obtain a National Police Clearance.
