Reporting to the General Services Manager, this position requires a hands on experienced HR professional to play a vital role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting senior managers and their teams to ensure all human resources activities meet legislative, business and contract compliance as well as aligning to our company and our client's values.
THE POSITION
Providing accurate advice and support to senior managers on functions including workforce planning and recruitment, employee relations, performance management, workers compensation processes and training compliance
Ensure site compliance with all relevant policies, awards, and employment legislation
End to end recruitment and onboarding support
Working with senior managers in the resolution of employee grievances, absenteeism and disciplinary matters
Proactively manage relationships with relevant union delegates and act as first point of contact for all union inquiries
Work with employees, Return to Work Coordinators and Case Managers in the management of all workers compensation matters
Ensure accurate administration including provision of monthly and ad hoc reporting of HR metrics
Collaborating with the broader Compass Group national Human Resources team to ensure a seamless delivery of company initiatives
THE PERSON
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years generalist Human Resources experience ideally in a healthcare, hospitality or blue collar environments
Proven experience coaching and mentoring managers
People orientated with natural ability to communicate effectively and positively with all stakeholders
High level administration skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite; ability to readily learn new systems where required
Demonstrate a 'can do' attitude within a complex client-focused business
Passionate about high standards of delivery, levels of customer satisfaction and engagement with demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
