ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We
provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

We are seeking a Senior HSEQ Advisor to provide high level leadership across our remote operations portfolio. In this role, you will uplift capability, strengthen compliance, and embed a proactive, people centred safety culture. 

This is a permanent full time opportunity offering autonomy, variety, and the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple remote locations.

The Position

  • Deliver high level HSEQ leadership and capability uplift across a diverse remote services portfolio.
  • Coach and mentor Site and Village Managers to confidently manage HSEQ risks and embed safe, consistent operating practices
  •  Support and champion a strong safety culture aligned to Compass Group’s “See, Care, Share” philosophy.
  •  Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective actions.
  • Conduct site-based inspections, compliance checks, and assurance activities across WHS, food safety, environment and quality.
  •  Partner with client representatives and internal stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Analyse HSEQ data to identify trends, risk patterns, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  •  Plan and execute a self-directed FIFO site engagement schedule across multiple locations, adapting to operational priorities and emerging risks.
  • 8/6 Roster, flying out of Perth airport

The Person

  • Tertiary qualification in HSEQ or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience improving safety performance and influencing operational leaders.
  • Experience working in FIFO or remote environments across multi service operations.
    Strong knowledge of WHS, environmental and food safety standards, legislation and codes.
  • Demonstrated capability in driving safety culture uplift and coaching leaders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and root cause investigation skills.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously across a large, geographically dispersed portfolio.
