Chartwells has apprenticeship opportunities across two prestigious schools in Toowoomba, Queensland. You will have the opportunity to start or continue your apprenticeship in a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. You will be paid not only for your workdays in the kitchen, but for also your on campus learning days as well. During your culinary journey you will be mentored by experienced chefs in a supportive on-site team as well as your lecturers and apprenticeship support staff. 

The Position

• Assist the kitchen to prepare and present basic food and beverages
• Provide friendly customer service
• Adhering to hygiene standards and follow proper food handling practices
• Attend on campus training with a registered training provider
• Complete all theory-based work within the dedicated timeline set by training provider
• Monitor stock and minimise wastage

The Person

• A strong passion and commitment for learning about food and food preparation
• Willingness to take direction 
• A positive attitude 
• Previous hospitality and kitchenhand work desirable 
• Current Working with Children Check or ability to obtain
