We are currently seeking experienced Cleaners to work at the Newcastle Mater Hospital. You’ll work as part of our supportive cleaning team to ensure the cleanliness of the hospital whilst providing genuine service and care to the patients and visitors within the hospital.
THE POSITION
Providing professional customer service
These casual opportunities have a variety of shifts available between the hours of 6am-10pm across seven days a week.
General hospital cleaning duties as required such as discharge cleaning, ward cleaning, collection of waste
Receiving requests to assist with urgent cleans or additional tasks around the hospital
Use of carpet extractor and steam cleaning machines
Washing of external surfaces and furniture
THE PERSON
An excellent eye for detail and well presented
You’re able to work on your own but also within a team environment
Ability to stay calm under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
Experience within a hospital or aged care environment is highly regarded
Willingness to obtain a National Police Check Clearance and provide proof of immunity for vaccine preventable diseases
