We're currently seeking experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operators to join our Back of House Logistics Team for the Australian Open 2027.

The Position

As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring stock and equipment are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time across the precinct.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating forklifts to transport food, beverage, retail and event inventory throughout Melbourne Park.
• Loading and unloading deliveries from trucks and distribution vehicles.
• Supporting the receipt, storage and distribution of stock across multiple venues and storage locations.
• Assisting with inventory control and stock movement processes.
• Maintaining safe and organised loading dock and storage areas.
• Conducting equipment checks and operating in line with all safety procedures and regulations.
• Working closely with warehouse, stores and venue teams to support daily operational requirements.
• Contributing to efficient logistics operations during one of Australia's largest major events.

The Person

We're looking for professional operators who thrive in high-volume environments and take pride in safe work practices.

You'll have:

• A current LF Forklift Licence.
• Demonstrated forklift operating experience in warehouse, logistics, events, hospitality or distribution environments.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Experience loading, unloading and transporting stock efficiently and safely.
• The ability to work under pressure and meet tight operational deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to stock accuracy.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work on your feet in a fast-paced event environment.
• Availability throughout the Australian Open event period, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
