Bar Manager

  • $91,812pa Plus Superannuation
  • 8 days on and 6 days off.  This role will be rotating day/night roster
  • Accommodation and meals provided
  • The role is Fly In / Fly Out and would be ideal for candidates local to the Cairns or Darwin regions

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback. Due to anticipated growth across our Groote Eylandt Site in the Northern Territory, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bar Manager to join the team. 

The Position

  • Experience in a similar supervisory role leading a large diverse team, driving Sales and Business Performance - Customer experience and financial outcomes. 
  • Financial and Billing oversight - contributing to accurate invoicing, management of stock control and stocktakes, supporting clear and timely reporting
  • Commercial experience (Tavern or Resort environment preferable)
  • Leads success through People Management - building capability, setting expectations and driving consistent team performance
  • Safety Driven Leadership - maintaining a strong safety focus across all tasks. Setting daily direction, communicating priorities and reinforcing standards through daily pre-starts and tool boxes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create, implement and evaluate training and procedures
  • RSA and Venue license with at least 2x years experience in a similar role.
  • Be able to pass a Pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol Test

The Person

  • You will be responsible for leading the team within our Tavern to ensure facilities are clean and comply with our contractual obligations.
  • You will be a driven individual that is able to train, lead and motivate your team, working alongside with management to achieve desired results.
  • Your role will consist of an array of tasks including but not limited to cleaning, serving alcohol,  restocking alcohol, customer service, housekeeping & kitchen work if required.
