ESS Defence provides food service and hospitality support to Defence sites across Australia. We deliver high quality meals that support the wellbeing of Australian Defence Force personnel.

We are seeking a Cook / Chef to join our team at Kapooka (Wagga Wagga). This full-time role is ideal for candidates with kitchen or catering experience looking for a stable role with career pathways.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare meals in a bulk cooking environment
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Assist with stock control and kitchen operations
• Ensure quality, portion control and presentation
• Support team during busy service periods

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Certificate III or relevant cooking experience
• Experience in commercial kitchens or catering
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• Reliable with a team focused approach
