ESS Defence provides food service and hospitality support to Defence sites across Australia. We deliver high quality meals that support the wellbeing of Australian Defence Force personnel.

We are seeking experienced Chefs to join our team at RAAF Amberley, Ipswich. Multiple roles are available across full-time and part-time rosters, suited to chefs looking for either stable hours or flexible work arrangements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare high-quality buffet-style meals for daily service and events
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Support kitchen operations including stock control and deliveries
• Monitor food quality, presentation and portion control
• Work as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Experience in commercial kitchens or bulk catering environments
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and allergen management
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation
• Reliable with a team-focused approach
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance
