Collaborate within a dedicated team in a unique environment as a Chef at HMAS Albatross (Nowra Hill). This role is suitable for candidates that enjoy bulk cooking with a passion for quality, flavour, and presentation. You’ll get full training and support while working in a dynamic and fun working environment.
The Position:
· Full-time position
· Primarily weekday roster with standard shifts: 5:30 am – 1:30 pm or 11:30 am – 7:30 pm
· Limited evening functions
· Prepare high-quality, buffet-style bulk meals for various service times, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, and events
· Ensure strict adherence to catering controls, OH&S compliance, and HACCP standards, with a strong focus on minimizing waste
· Enhance kitchen efficiency by managing goods receiving, inventory, and cold room controls
· Deliver outstanding service and customer interactions
The Person:
· Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
· Proven experience in large commercial kitchens
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to access the site
· Strong knowledge of HACCP, allergen management, and food safety
· Passion for quality, excellent presentation skills, and attention to detail
· Goal-oriented with a commitment to both personal and organizational success
