We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Cleaning & Accommodation Supervisor to join our Defence team at Townsville. This role is critical in leading day-to-day cleaning and accommodation services, ensuring high standards across site facilities while supporting a safe, compliant and high-performing team environment.

About the Role:   
 
You will play a key role in delivering essential services within a fast-paced operational setting, working closely with site leadership and operational teams to maintain hygiene, safety and service excellence.  
 
Your responsibilities will include: 
  • Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning and housekeeping services. 
  • Manage scheduled and reactive cleaning requirements.  
  • Develop and maintain staff rosters.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ and safety standards.  
  • Maintain high cleaning and hygiene standards.  
  • Support laundry, linen and accommodation services as required.  
  • Provide excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement.  
  • Complete reporting, audits and stock control activities.  
  • Oversee accommodation operations to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Support the efficient allocation, readiness and presentation of accommodation facilities.
What we’re looking for:   
  • Proven experience in a supervisory cleaning or facilities role.  
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.  
  • High attention to detail and standards.  
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.  
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).  
  • First Aid Certificate (desirable).  
  • Certificate IV in Cleaning Management (desirable).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence Security Clearance.
  • Australian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this position.
