THE POSITION
Mobilisation Period:
Work cohesively with the project team to assist in the development of cleaning and waste related schedules and undertake all relevant planning requirements.
Develop and maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure project success.
Attend regular meetings and workshops to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure that all stakeholders are fully informed.
Provide support and guidance to project team members and stakeholders to ensure that they have the necessary resources and information to support the project.
Operations:
Lead and manage a team of cleaning supervisors and staff, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
Ensure all cleaning and waste tasks across the hospital precinct meet safety, quality, and timeliness standards.
Prioritise and allocate urgent/reactive work in coordination with the Environmental Services Manager.
Conduct audits and inspections to maintain cleaning standards and drive continuous improvement.
Enforce Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) compliance and promote a strong safety and quality culture within the team.
Provide training and refresher sessions on cleaning procedures, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
Manage cleaning supply inventory and assist with administrative duties, including scheduling, reporting, and performance reviews.
Facilitate daily toolbox meetings to share updates, address safety concerns, and respond to operational changes.
THE PERSON
Experience within a commercial cleaning environment, including equipment & materials used, as well as methodologies and approaches to commercial cleaning tasks.
Experience in a healthcare setting, including infection control policies and procedures is highly desirable.
Capable of recommending and demonstrating cleaning methodologies in order to produce best results, through best practice.
Proficient computer skills and any experience with QFM and iClean is highly desirable.
Proven experience supervising operational teams with a collaborative management style.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety issues.
Strong communicator with the ability to manage relationships at various organisational levels.
