THE POSITION
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals to a high standard
- Follow food safety, HACCP and hygiene requirements
- Support specialised dietary and texture-modified meal requirements
- Monitor stock levels and minimise wastage
- Maintain a clean, organised and compliant kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider catering and care team
THE PERSON
- Previous cooking experience, ideally within aged care, healthcare or hospitality
- Understanding of HACCP principles and food safety requirements
- Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements
- Experience with IDDSI guidelines is highly regarded
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow direction and work within established procedures
- Flexible approach to shift changes and additional shift coverage
- Comfortable using digital devices such as tablets or iPads
- Australian working rights
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
