We’re looking for an experienced Driver Training Coordinator to perform training and assessment on commercial and Defence specific vehicles

This role is located on base and ADF veterans are encouraged to apply as this role has significant interface with RAAF personnel.

Rate: $35.19 per hour 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom and in-vehicle instruction and assessment
  • Plan appropriate routes and locations for Defence driver training
  • Gain and maintain currency of civilian and Defence required competencies
  • Provide guidance on the training and testing of Defence personnel for Defence Drivers’ licences ensuring all Vehicle Operators are conversant with the Commonwealth, State and Territory regulations in which the Unit is located
  • Work collaboratively to efficiently deliver standardised driver training
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and provide appropriate documentation
  • Maintain accurate records and operational reporting

About You:

  • Great communicator – you love talking to people and getting things done
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Familiarity with transport management systems and Microsoft Office
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • TAEASS412 – Assess Competence
  • TLIM0011 – Conduct Heavy Vehicle Training (or State equivalent)
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment
  • Australian citizen
  • Hold an open, unrestricted State or Territory Licence
  • Minimum MEDCAT 2 (or civilian equivalent)
  • Hold minimum of HR and/or HC with the ability to undergo training to gain
  • Various ADF licences/endorsements
