THE POSITION • Lead the retail café, delivering fresh, nutritious meals while bringing innovative ideas to drive its continued success. • Leading a talented culinary team with professionalism and vision. • Upholding the highest standards of food safety, allergen management, and occupational health. • Overseeing procurement, cost control, inventory, and kitchen operations with a focus on sustainability and minimal waste. • Hands-on leadership, mentoring, and team development within a retail setting
THE PERSON • A polished culinary professional with a strong presence, exceptional communication skills, and a background in both a retail catering and daily food service. • 2 years experience as a head chef in a cafe setting • Proven experience in event catering, banquet service, and premium functions. • A proactive, mature, and composed approach to kitchen leadership • A current Police Check or willingness to obtain one • Commitment to food safety, allergen protocols, and staff development
