Compass Group is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager Sales regional to lead our commercial and sales strategy across our remote accommodation portfolio. This is a pivotal role focused on maximising revenue, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving strategic growth.
THE POSITION
As the Regional Sales Manager, you will lead the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives aimed at optimising stay-day capacity and rates across our remote accommodation portfolio. You’ll be responsible for driving monthly outlooks, 90-day forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term capital improvement plans, while identifying and implementing commercial transformation projects to enhance value and efficiency. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, acting as the primary contact for client queries and collaborating daily with cross-functional teams including FP&A, business development, supply chain, facilities management, and legal. You’ll also support client-facing discussions and escalations in partnership with the Operations General Manager, ensuring alignment and responsiveness across all commercial activities.
In addition to strategic leadership, you’ll manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and communicative culture. You’ll build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals, tailoring solutions to meet client needs and negotiating contracts covering room rates, amenities, and terms of stay. The role also includes preparing strategic plans for 5, 10, and 15-year horizons, submitting the annual SIMP to the TOPH, and delivering insightful analysis and presentations for senior leadership. THE PERSON
5+ years’ experience in sales or commercial roles within a related industry.
Proven leadership experience managing a team of 3+ direct reports.
Strong technical and analytical skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication, prioritisation, and multitasking abilities.
High attention to detail and a proactive, positive attitude.
